How do I get there without a car?+
Your first ebook arrives right after booking β it includes a complete transport guide with routes, timings, and everything you need to know.
Basic route: take the 1877 bus from Yuanshan or Nangang MRT β 90 minutes direct to Wushi Harbor, 10 min walk.
Can I join on my own?+
Absolutely. This is designed for solo travellers and small groups. You'll be added to the crew WhatsApp group once your reservation is confirmed.
How do I start meeting everyone after I sign up?+
Once your payment is complete, you'll join this month's WhatsApp crew group and start meeting fellow sailors from all over the world right away.
The group is primarily in English, with a Chinese-language group also available β whichever you're more comfortable with, you won't be left out.
Will I get seasick?+
Take motion sickness medication an hour before departure. Sailboats are far smoother than speedboats β most people are completely fine.
What if the weather is bad β or I need to cancel?+
Weather cancellation: we reschedule first. If that's not possible, your deposit and balance are fully refunded β you won't lose a cent.
Personal cancellation? Cancel 7+ days before departure and the NT$2,500 balance is fully refunded. We understand plans change β just let us know early.
What's the refund policy?+
Here's how it works, clearly.
Deposit NT$1,480 (paid to Yi):
Non-refundable for personal cancellations. Fully refunded for weather cancellations β and your ebooks, crew group and Social Night perks are still yours to keep.
Balance NT$2,500 (paid to Captain Mike):
Fully refunded for weather cancellations or personal cancellations 7+ days before departure.
Yi and Mike each handle their own portion β separately, transparently, and with full integrity. We stand behind every sailor.
How many people will be on board?+
Each session sets sail with a minimum of 8 people, up to 20. If we don't fill all spots, we'll merge with Captain Mike's other guests β you'll still meet new people either way.
Can I join if I can't swim?+
Absolutely. Life jackets are provided and guest liability insurance is included β no extra cost. Water activities are completely optional. Sitting on deck and taking in the view is a perfectly great way to spend the day.
How do you decide if the weather is too bad to sail?+
Captain Mike makes the call based on sea conditions, and I'll notify you right away. With his years of experience, cancellations are rare β but when the ocean says no, we listen.
Can I change my session?+
We'll do our best to help β just reach out as early as possible. The sooner you ask, the better the chances. We can't guarantee a swap, but we'll always try.
What's the story behind the chicken on your logo?+
Last year I read a book β A Sailor, A Chicken, An Incredible Voyage.
The main character, Guirec, sailed alone β afraid of loneliness β so he brought a hen named Monique to keep him company across the ocean.
That story stayed with me. I wanted to carry that same spirit into Beyond the Horizon.
